Prologus

Before the coins of Rome bore the faces of emperors, they bore the blessing of a temple. On the Capitoline Hill stood the Temple of Juno Moneta, where Rome struck its silver, and from whose name the word money was born. And in that temple, among the sacred geese and the stacks of denarii, there lived a cat.

Caput I · Origo

A Stowaway From the East

He came up the Tiber on a merchant ship from the East, the only cargo not written in the manifest. Cream coat, dark mask, and eyes the colour of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

The minters found him asleep on the Capitoline steps, curled on a warm sack of silver. They named him Montius, the one from the hill.

Caput II · Custos

The Guardian of the Mint

Rats gnawed at the sacks of silver every night. The geese of Juno honked at them. Montius did something about it.

For a whole year not a single denarius went missing. The minters gave him a seat by the furnace and a bowl of the best fish in Rome. He took the seat. He took the fish. He never stopped watching the vault.

Caput III · Senatus

He Refused the Crown

Word reached the Senate. The fathers of Rome, half joking and half not, offered the cat a laurel and a title: Imperator Felinus.

Montius looked at the laurel, looked at the senators, and walked out of the Curia with his tail up. A mint needs a guardian, not a king. No one has owned him since.

Caput IV · Sigillum

The Sealed Vault

To honour him, the master of the mint struck a single coin with the cat's profile on its face. Then he did something no Roman had done: he sealed the temple vault for good.

No consul, no emperor, no hand at all could ever empty it again. The treasure would stay where it was, for everyone, for ever.

Caput V · Elysium

Reborn in Elysium

When his ninth life ended, Montius did not go down to the shadows. He walked into the Elysian Fields, where heroes rest.

Two thousand years later, a new mint opened in Elysium. It was called Montra, and it worked the way his vault had: one coin, one pool, the treasure sealed inside. Montius came back. This time he brought his coin with him. $MONTY.

From Moneta
to Montra

Rome's mint took its name from Juno Moneta, the goddess whose temple on the Capitoline guarded the city's silver. Two thousand years on, the name is still in every wallet.

The Six Laws
of the Vault

Carved in marble, kept by code. Every Montra token keeps these rules from its first block.

I

Liquiditas Aeterna

Eternal liquidity

The whole supply sits in the pool as one position. The hook has no way to take it out. The vault stays sealed.

II

Nullus Imperator

No emperor

The token has no owner. Like Montius in the Curia, nobody wears the crown.

III

Nulla Tributa

No tax

No transfer tax, no extra minting, no pause, no blacklist. What you hold is yours.

IV

Nullae Partes

No allocations

No team bag, no presale, no vesting. 100% of the supply began in the pool.

V

Forum Unum

One forum

No bonding curve, no migration. The pool $MONTY opens in is its market for life.

VI

Pretium Populi

The people's price

Only trading sets the price. No one props it up, and the senate of holders decides.
